ULOG (Transmundo S.A.) has carried the most important structures for the renewable energy projects, such as the wind farms and steam production by burning biomass. Some of the remarkable projects shipped by Ulog are as follows:

  • UPM Pulp Mill (formerly Botnia, in Fray Bentos – Panprojects)
  • Weyerhaeuser 2nd Production Line (Tacuarembó – UPS)
  • General Electric Power Generator Plant /UTE (Punta del Tigre – Intermarine)
  • Vestas Wind Farm/UTE (Cerro de Los Caracoles – Spliethoff/BBC – 10WTG)
  • Wärtsilä power plant/UTE (Batlle Power Plant, Montevideo – Fracht)
  • Nordic Wind Farm/Nuevo Manantial (Nuevo Manantial – 3WTG)
  • Vestas Wind Farm/ Kentilux – La Magdalena (ULOG – 5WTG)
  • Areva-Alstom Power Conversion/UTE (Melo – Bertling)
  • Three-phase transformers (25-63MVA)/UTE
  • NedWind Wind Farm NW40/ (Nuevo Manantial – 18WTG)

Scelza & Montano has assisted ULOG for the different logistic contracts and charter parties.

Urutug (Lirio Blanco S.A.) has purchased and registered under Uruguayan flag special tug boats.

Urutug (Lirio Blanco S.A.) has purchased and registered under Uruguayan flag special tug boats, to provide services in the ports of Uruguay, particularly to serve Montes del Plata to enable the entrance of cargo ships in the Port of Punta Pereira to unload wood pulp. Such tug boats introduce the best technology for such task in this country.

Scelza & Montano assisted Urutug for the purchase and registration of the tug boats and in the financial contract with the banks that supported the project.

Transfluvial (Orofran S.A.) shall provide the services for the carriage of wood logs.

Transfluvial (Orofran S.A.) shall provide the services for the carriage of wood logs through the river, from the Logistic Terminal of M´Bopicua (Fray Bentos, Uruguay) up to the Port of Punta Pereira (Colonia, Uruguay), for the industrial project of Montes del Plata (wood pulp mill).

In 2012, Transfluvial constructed the “Punta Pereira” pusher vessel in Asenav shipyard of Chile, and is constructing the barge “Playa de Conchillas”, to advance in the infrastructure to be available in 2013.

Scelza & Montano worked with Transfluvial reviewing the contracts for the construction of pusher tugs and tug boats, and in the financial contracts with the banks that supported the project.

Julio Berkes S.A. and Berkes Hispana SL are companies that were commissioned for the manufacture, mounting and operation of an industrial boiler in France.

Julio Berkes S.A. and Berkes Hispana SL are companies that were commissioned for the manufacture, mounting and operation of an industrial boiler in France for Cristal Union Group, one of the major European groups dealing with sugar and ethanol production. The capacity of the boiler is 40 ton/h, 43 bar, 430 °C, and burns wheat bran, straws and wood chips. In 2012 it was sucessfully put into operation.

Scelza & Montano assisted Berkes for the drafting of the international contract, mounting and start up, as well as for the financial contract and for all the work execution.

La Buena Estrella S.A. produces veterinarian products and has developed the most complete series of tick killers with no resistance by ticks and such products are available as injectable formulations, absolutely innovative since they are less toxic for animals, human beings and the environment.

The company has constructed a new plant for the production of antiparasitics injections and pesticides meeting the highest quality standards.

Scelza & Montano provided its services to La Buena Estrella S.A. for the reconstruction works of its industrial plant.

Montecon S.A. realizó notables inversiones en equipamiento de última generación, adquiriendo grúas para la carga y descarga de contenedores en el Puerto de Montevideo. En particular destaca la adquisición de la grúa Liebherr LHM600.Este modelo corresponde al equipo de estas características de mayor velocidad y alcance de su tipo en el mundo. Su llegada se enmarca en un plan de renovación y up-grade de grúas el cual busca sustituir todas las unidades de tipo panamax por grúas de estas características (súper post-panamax).

Scelza & Montano asistió a  Montecon S.A. en los contratos de compraventa internacional y en los contratos de financiamiento bancario.
